The Evolution of the Sensitive Empowerment Community

I was teaching an online course for HSPs, and it felt so good to be together that none of us wanted it to end. That's the birth of this community!

I could see that social media had become stressful for many of us, and I wanted to do something different. I wanted to grow a global sensitive family that deeply connected and supported each other. We intentionally made this a space that felt good to be in, away from the barrage of advertisements and anonymous online negativity. I wanted a soft place to land for HSPs all over the world. I wanted us to know each other. I love seeing photos and hearing your stories!

I've always seen the beautiful gifts in highly sensitive people, and I knew that creating a sensitive family that was all HSPs would be unique and special.  As a psychotherapist working with HSPs, I saw that so many couldn't see their gifts until they learned about the trait, had tools to reduce the challenges, and got to know how to support their sensitivity in a world not set up for us. I knew that by bringing highly sensitive people together, you would see how kind, loving, and wonderfully special you are and that being together highlighted that!

I saw that globally we all experienced similar messages growing up that something was wrong with our sensitivity. It became profound to spend time with other HSPs and normalize what we experienced. Having that extra layer of validation was healing for so many of us.

When I read comments that many of you have written about this being a space you've felt safe in for the first time to be yourself and begin to love who you are, it touches my heart so profoundly. I love this video that a community member made from members who wanted to share what this community means to them.

3 Monthy Live Socials with Other HSPs

Every month we host several opportunities to join in fun, uplifting time together, sharing meaningful and supportive conversations. We keep things gentle on our senses and introvert-friendly to help decrease social anxiety. We'll have icebreaker questions to help facilitate conversation and small groupings to provide an intimate setting to connect meaningfully with a few other HSPs from the community.

This community hosts some incredible groups too!

  1. The Design Your Life Group offers a unique experience that inspires us to become conscious of creating a life that feels good to us and helps brighten our light. They recognize that, as HSPs, we don't always fit into traditional boxes, and instead, designing a life that works for us might look different than what we've been taught. It is a fun, inspiring, creative, and beautiful space to spend time in. I love everything they are doing there!

  2. The Spiral Up Group Helps HSPs Overcome Depression and find Healing, Belonging, & Thriving. It’s a supportive space and covers many important elements of holistic healing that work well for HSPs. It is a kind-hearted group, and members have shared how special and sacred this space feels.

  3. The HSPs in the Heart-Centered Business Group provide incredible support, opportunities, and business events to members. I've seen members overcome fears, develop confidence, and get inspired to grow their businesses that help others! I love seeing HSPs take advantage of the many opportunities offered by getting their businesses listed on the directories so HSPs who need them can find them, publishing articles on The HSP Blog, hosting events, and sharing ideas that are collaborative and inspiring. So many of us wish we had this when we started our businesses!

  4. Julie’s Course Discussion Group offers a place to ask questions, get course study buddies, and enrich your experiences by sharing your course journey with other HSPs taking the same course.

Many fantastic HSPs support our community in such beautiful ways, and I am so grateful we get to be in their light. ❤️

In my Sensitive Empowerment Community, I talk a lot about the experience of being highly sensitive, the challenges I've experienced, and the tools and resources I use to cope. I warmly invite you to join in these discussions as it is healing to share our stories and learn from each other what can help.
